Communication

Dear Parents,

Thank you for your patience and support with me, the schools (Gateway, Lincoln, and K12), other parents, and especially with our children.
It has been a great start to the year with newly added grades and curriculums. I am excited to promote our schooling options through the home in all the ways available. The popularity of these programs helps assure their availability.

It is most important to realize that what works for one family may not work for another because we are all individuals with different needs both for each family and each individual within the family. Homeschooling is a very personal decision.  My background is that I have homeschooled, private schooled, and public schooled my four children and helped other families do all three methods as well. I say this because it can always be a ‘recipe’ of solutions that give a good educational plan to each student. The plan needs to be adjusted sometimes. The offerings are per need and availability.

We can offer:

Lincoln 5th through 12th
Lincoln K and 1st PILOT Test Curriculum
K12  K through 8th
Cottage K through 2nd
Cottage 3rd through 5th
Enrichments, Electives and Core courses through Middle School and High School
Full-time school classes

With all of this in mind, I want us to be very positive and flexible in each plan and/or change. I feel it will breed more success in every program when we help each other.

I have been overwhelmed by your commitment to help each other succeed. That is why I like ‘linking’ up in ways to help us help each other.

Please do keep me in the ‘loop’ so I can help direct the connections to the most helpful links and hopefully help acquire solutions effectively and quickly.
Communication and ideas are helpful if we remain positively connected.

Note:
As you can see I am working with three different schools and two online programs. Please know that I am available for all of these but time is valuable.

1.       Emails are a great communication since I often have multiple duties at the same time, and I try to answer them in a timely manner.
2.       This seems to be a very effective communication. Please do not attempt to email me through k12 Totalview. I am available through contact info. at the end of the email.
3.       I have students Tuesday through Friday 12:05 to 3:50. During this time most phone calls will go directly to voicemail.
My usual availability is all mornings and all day Mondays.
4.       Afterschool is usually not the best time.
5.       Lengthy phone conversations and in person conferences are better off scheduled so we can give time needed.
6.       When emailing each other on any of my programs, please include me so I am aware of what the concerns or needs are. I may know how to direct the info., add support, and find the needed resources. Please make sure emails focus on the positive educational needs of the students in our programs.

As always, please contact me when you have questions or concerns. I am committed to your child’s success.

Always – Let’s stay positive.
Thank you,
