"Happy Log-in Days" & Attendance Information

The online program calculates login totals for each subject automatically. You just make sure you are logging on and doing assignments daily.

It is VERY IMPORTANT to log in to every subject frequently AND ESPECIALLY everyday between Sept 19th to Oct 11th. This just means do your regular work as you should be. This 'every subject/every day' is required during this period, which I call "Happy Log In Days", but you may go back to your own flexible schedule after Oct. 11th.
Also, each quarter, I will ask for your attendance which is number of hours spent online and doing work related to online, and number of days doing online, and number of regularly scheduled school days that are taken off.
I would just write the number of online hours on each day on a regular calendar. I don't need the totals filled in below until October 5th with estimates of work through Oct. 12th which is end of the quarter. Also at that time it would be ideal to be done with Fall Quarter in Little Lincoln and done with lesson #20 in Lincoln. I realize it is the start of the year and the first quarter may have started late or been a challenging adjustment, but we should still aim for the "ideal", if possible so next quarter doesn't fall behind as well.
Remember:
Total number of days schooled  ______

Total number of hours schooled  _______

Total number of school days off  _______(when  regular school is scheduled)

Showing Progress is IMPERATIVE now.
5th-12th Must submit assignments for grading through EdMastery inorder to show progress.

K-4th must show progress through Scannit assignments.

The district is aware of some Online Families that are in jeopardy of losing their online program privileges because they are:
1) NOT LOGGING ON DAILY
2) NOT SUBMITTING ASSIGNMENTS

Cottage attendance does not count for logins to online. Cottage and Online are really two separate programs.

If your student has cottage class during the "Happy Log In Days",

It is understandable that every course would be hard to complete on cottage class days.

Try to do a minimum of one subject that day if you are in Thursday cottage class.

Tues/Wed Cottage students should complete the one subject minimum but maybe all of their school work on Tues. and Wed. Cottage class days in the morning before cottage class.

Thank you,

Rachel's Challenge

Woodland Park High School
September 17, 2013

Community Event:  7:00pm, Dickson Auditorium
We are proud to announce that Woodland Park High School will be sharing Rachel's Challenge to their students, staff and community this year! You are invited to come hear an incredible true story of courage and hope and experience the most powerful school assembly and training program in America. Come witness the story of Rachel Scott, the first Columbine shooting victim, at our live Rachel's Challenge preview event.

When Rachel was 13 years old, she traced her hands on the back of her dresser and wrote in big black letters, "These hands belong to Rachel Joy Scott and will someday touch millions of peoples' hearts".  Her life and writings have impacted over 15 million students in live settings in the last 11 years, and we hope you'll be able to come hear the inspiring true story of hope, acceptance, and redemption.
Rachel's Challenge is the largest school assembly program in America.  It is designed to help school administrators, parents, and students create safer and more productive places to learn and achieve.  The goal is to motivate and equip students and administrators to embrace new values of kindness and compassion so that no one is left behind because of fear and violence in their school.

It is our mission to eradicate violence, prejudice, bullying, and overall hatred in our nation.  We are doing this by passing on the legacy of Rachel Scott nationwide in hopes that people will follow her example and accept her challenge to spread kindness and compassion to others.  Powerful footage of Rachel?s life and the Columbine tragedy holds audiences spellbound during the one hour presentation that motivates and encourages people to make positive change in the way they treat others.

Feel free to forward this invitation to your friends, family and colleagues, as we want to give everyone the opportunity to experience our program first-hand.    We hope to see you there!
