August 22nd, Open House!

ToNIGHT!! Open house! Come meet Sandy Struble. If you are enrolled in the cottage school program, come see your class room and bring your school supplies to put in your cubbie :) Does any one need supplies? Let us know! We have some.
Please pack a complete snack/lunch every day for your child when he/she has cottage class. At about 1:20 we have a snack break in the classroom before they go out to play at recess.
Open House is Monday, August 22nd, 4:30-6:30. It is not required, but just a good time to meet and see the classroom/office associated with the Cottage/Online Programs.

Cottage 1  is Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 11:10-2:55

Cottage 2 is Thursdays and Fridays from 11:10-2:55

Students should line up at 11:10 along the white fence directly in front of Gateway's front door. I will come out and Greet the class and walk them in. Pick up at 2:55 is a one way flow lane that can take 10-15 minutes. First few days I'll walk the class to the flag pole and have them point out your car as you pull through. If you want to get out of your car, park in the parking lot across the road from the front of the school & use the cross walk.

Children may bring in a "Show-n-tell" one time each week. I especially encourage Book Reports or other academic related items to share. Sometimes the kids read their book or a portion of it, tell about it, act it out, draw a picture, or a traditional written 'report' in the older cottage class. Kindergartners can even give a talk about a book read to them. Many show-n-tells end up being toys, but we have had a variety including, interesting rocks, crafts from home, etc.

Thanks,
Sandy
